Reports and transparency

Proposed reporting framework ยท 6 October 2026. This describes how future reporting could be organised. It is not a claim that these measures are already collected or verified.

Keep three different things separate

Requests received
Enquiries and offers of support, grouped by case and channel. One enquiry may concern several birds.
Work undertaken
Documented responses, referrals, care activity and education delivered. Offering help does not establish completion.
Verified results
Results supported by dated follow-up, care records or other appropriate evidence. Unknown outcomes remain unknown.

Annual care records

Use a unique internal bird identifier and reconcile opening residents plus arrivals, less departures and deaths, to closing residents. Report continuing residents separately from admissions. Explain corrections and changes in definitions.

Enquiries and education

Record the enquiry date, main category, action and known follow-up without publishing personal details. Report how many outcomes are known and the denominator for any rate. Separate education outputs, such as resources published, from evidence that people changed their practices.

Finances

Use the same reporting dates as the approved financial statements. Reconcile income and expenditure categories to those statements. State whether statements were audited, reviewed or neither, using the actual supporting documentation.

Evidence and review

Every published measure should have a definition, period, source, counting rule, limitations and review status. Use dated versions and explain material corrections. Obtain permission for identifiable stories and avoid publishing individual health histories or correspondence without an appropriate basis.

The historical email review is a separate reconstruction with incomplete coverage. It cannot substitute for a resident register, financial statements or verified follow-up. Human approval of this proposed framework remains pending.
